PURPOSE:To provide an operation supporting system which can output various voices depending on the driver. CONSTITUTION:A data is delivered from a GPS receiver 12 to a processor 11 where current position and orientation are detected. The processor 11 retrieves a map data base 15 and when a point to be routed is reached, route information comprising a plurality of clauses is prepared. Each clause is affixed with a level which is compared with a threshold level delivered from an input unit 19 or a threshold level being set automatically depending on the traveling conditions. A voice corresponding to a clause exceeding the threshold level is then read out from a guide voice data base 17 and delivered to a voice generator 18. Since only an important clause is outputted in the form of voice, it causes no deficient or excessive feeling for the driver. |
