Straw for use in drink container

The drinking straw (1) is integral to the interior of the container (2), and restrained under an elastic effect in its vertical direction. The outlet end of the drinking straw is automatically released and leaves the container as the container is opened.The drink container is opened by the partial removal of a ear strip (4) which is provided in the cover (3) for this purpose. The strip may be folded with respect to the cover or edge of the container. The strip includes a conical or cylindrical boss to centre the upper end of the drinking straw.
