PURPOSE:To inspect the existence of the surface flaw or an internal defect with high accuracy while passing a coil-shaped material such as a long size small diameter pipe material or a wire rod in a straight line shape through a carrying device. CONSTITUTION:A belt 22 is extended between a large diameter pulley 20 rotatably arranged on a shaft 18 of a pinch roller and a small diameter pulley 21 fixedly arranged on a shaft 19 of a pinch roller. A clutch 23 to make sliding contact with the pulley 20 is fixedly arranged on the shaft 18. When a coil- shaped material 1 is sent in the arrow direction, since peripheral velocities of the respective pinch rollers (unillustrated) are different from each other, the freely rotatable pulley 20 and the clutch 23 make sliding contact with each other, so that the coil-shaped material is sent in a straight line shape in a flaw detector 3 since tensile force is applied. |
