PURPOSE:To freely perform the setting of two cameras in an image processing device for a television game in which an image on a display screen is changing, etc., based on three-dimensional image data obtained by image-picking up the operation of a user by the two cameras. CONSTITUTION:The positions of contacts 225, 226 on a slide rheostat 221 are detected via A/D converters 211, 212, and an interval between the two cameras 102 and 103 is calculated. Also, the positions of contacts 227, 228 on a rotary rheostat 22 are detected via A/D converters 213, 214, and the optical axis directions of the two cameras 102, 103 are calculated. The detected position of the object on a coordinate map generated in a RAM 203 can be calculated based on image pickup operations by the two cameras 102, 103, and the three- dimensional position of an object can be calculated based on the interval between and the optical axis directions of the two cameras 102 and 103. A game can be advanced corresponding to the position relation of the three-dimensional position and the object being displayed on the television game. |
