The upper, positive, electrode is inserted in the wall's inner face above the upper limit of water penetration. The lower electrode is inserted along the wall foot, includes earth spikes at 5m spacing. Bare copper electrodes lie in 5cm deep grooves sealed by suitable cement.A mains rectifier provides 9 to 24v DC, 500mA. Oscillators operating alternately at 2886 and 440Hz inject AC to prevent lime deposits accumulating on the electrodes, and ensure even current distribution. Frequency alternation is electronically controlled. The equipment, left continuously connected, passes current only when relative humidity exceeds 5%.
