PURPOSE:To obtain a recorder depending on a kind of original image data by which image is recorded through selective forming of plural dots by toner and the toner save recording is executed properly without troublesome manual operation of a user. CONSTITUTION:Since the toner save recording or the non-toner save recording is selected automatically depending on the kind of original image data, even when the user makes selection without knowing the kind of the original image data. Furthermore, the selection is implemented automatically without troublesome manual operation. When the toner save recording is selected, the recording section is controlled based on the toner save recording image data and the amount of toner consumption is less then that based on the original image data. Then the original image is recognized from the recording image formed based on the toner save image data. |
