PURPOSE:To facilitate the specifying of a toner container to be exchanged and to automatically move the toner container exchanged, to a rotational position capable of exchanging the toner container by regulating this rotational position, in a rotary developing device to which the toner container is fitted detachably in the direction of the rotary shaft of a revolver developing unit. CONSTITUTION:Attaching parts to which the toner containers 41-44 can be attached/detached are provided on units 91Y, 91M, 91C and 110 receiving toner from the toner containers provided on one end of the rotary developing unit 40 and the attaching parts are constituted so that the toner containers can be attached/detached in the axial direction. Then, a cover 47 provided with a notch 47a capable of taking out a black toner container main body and only one toner container is provided not to rotate on a part, nearer to an operator than the toner containers. In the detection of 'toner-near-end', etc., the toner container of the nearly end of the toner is rotated and moved to the position capable of taking out from the notch 47a. |
