PURPOSE:To obtain images having image quality distinctly segmenting image parts and non-image parts. CONSTITUTION:This image forming method comprises subjecting a photosensitive material which is formed by providing the surface of a base with at least one layer of photosensitive layers contg. silver halides and at least one layer of polymerized layers contg. polymerizable compds. and/or crosslinkable polymers and providing the upper layer and lower layer adjacent to the polymerized layers with release layers to image exposing and peeling the release layers after polymn. by heating to separate the polymerized parts and non-polymerized parts of the polymerized layers without subjecting the photosensitive material to a liquid treatment.
