PURPOSE:To enable speedy and highly accurate volume regulation by arranging an electrode system having a working electrode and a counter electrode on an insulating board, and arranging a reaction layer containing a compound having oxygen, an electron acceptor and an oxygen reducing catalytic function. CONSTITUTION:Leads 2 and 3 are formed on an insulating board 1 by screen printing of silver paste, and a working electrode 4 is printed by and formed of carbon paste, and is connected to the lead 2. An insulating layer 6 to cover an outer peripheral part of the working electrode 4 and a part of the leads 2 and 3 is formed of insulating paste, and a counter electrode 5 is formed of carbon paste, and is connected to the lead 3. A mixed aqueous solution of glucose oxidase (an enzyme), potassium ferricyanide (an electron acceptor) and methyl dioxide viologen (an oxygen reducing catalyst) is dripped on the working electrode 4 and the counter electrode 5, and is dried, and a reaction layer 7 is formed. A lecithin layer 8 is formed on it, and supply of a sample solution is improved. Since a reaction system is always kept in a near oxygen free condition by an action of methyl viologen, accurate sensor response is obtained. |
