PURPOSE:To effectively use a DC power source by reducing switching loss at the time of a low output. CONSTITUTION:A PWM pulse generator 17 for forming an inverter controller has a circuit 31 for calculating an effective value of an output power of an inverter main circuit, a circuit 33 for discriminating a high output mode and a low output mode based on a level of the effective value of the calculated power, and an analog switch 38 for switching a frequency of a triangular wave in response to a mode discrimination, wherein at the time of a low output, a PWM pulse of a low frequency is generated, while at the time of a high output, a PWM pulse of a high frequency is generated. |
