<p>PURPOSE:To measure the tape drive force a generaly coping with a machine by changing the condition of each machine element and running a tape for a specified length. CONSTITUTION:At the point in a length TL of arbitrary tape length of magnetic tape 10 wherein a track T is formed, a pin hole P is provided. A capstan is driven with loading this tape at a constant speed and pulse count is started when.a controller detects the pin hole P. When the next pin hole is detected, the tape is run for length TL. By counting the output pulse from the rotation detection means of the capstan motor in this interval, this is made a standard count value. Then various mechanical element conditions are changed and the tape run for the length TL is executed to determine the pulse count value in this period to be the comparable count value. By comparing these standard count value with the comparable count value, the tape drive force of the capstan motor against the machine element can be measured.</p> |
