PURPOSE:To classify and count basophil, juvenile granulocyte, monocyte and granulocyte other than basocyte by a single channel by using a reagent consisting of a nonionic surfactant wherein the addition polymerization mol number of polyoxyethylene is within a specific range, a cationic surfactant and a specific buffer agent. CONSTITUTION:Classification and counting are performed by using a reagent consisting of at least one kind of a nonionic surfactant wherein the addition polymerization mol number of polyoxyethylene is 3-10, at least one kind of a cationic surfactant and a buffer agent for adjusting pH to 2.5-4.0. By mixing this reagent with a blood sample, a red corpuscle is hemolyzed to a degree becoming no obstruction of later measurement and, in white corpuscle, granulocyte other than basophil is makedized. By measuring the size data of a cell and morphorogical data thereof, the white corpuscle can be classified into basophil, juvenile glanurocyte, monocyte (lymphatic corpuscle, monocyte) and a granulocyte (neutrophile, acidocyte) other than the basophil. |
