PURPOSE:To provide a negative electrode for lithium secondary battery minimized in the deterioration by repeat of charge and discharge and having a high charge and discharge capacity and a high energy density, and a lithium secondary battery using it. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode for lithium secondary battery has a negative electrode material containing a hollow carbon fiber, preferably, a hollow carbon fiber having a cylindrical structure 1-500nm in diameter and 0.05-500mum in length consisting of a carbon atomic membrane in which carbon atoms are arranged in honeycomb form. A lithium secondary battery has this negative electrode, a positive electrode, and an electrolyte. |
