<p>PURPOSE: To improve the error correcting ability of an error correcting code, by utilizing MOD numbers to record macro-blocks distributively in many tracks instead of disposing them continuously in one track. CONSTITUTION: A synchronizing-signal separating portion 81 separates a synchronizing signal from an inputted frame signal to operate it as a reference signal for a track-information generating portion 82, macro-block counting portion 84 and pixel counting portion 85. The track-information generating portion 82 generates such various track informations as the frame number and channel number of a track to feed them to a track-MOD-number generating portion 83. The track-MOD-number generating portion 83 determines MOD numbers in response to the number of fields per frame and the number of segments per field to assign one number of the numbers ranging from zero to (MOD- number -1) to each track in response to the various track informations and feed the assigned number to a track-address generating portion 86 as a track MOD number.</p> |
