PURPOSE:To provide a camera capable of easily setting the content of an operation mode based on the gazing action of a photographer and manual operation by providing a processing means for making the operation of a mode content setting part effective in the case of judging that the photographer gazes a previously set area. CONSTITUTION:When a line-of-sight position detection means 39 and a CPU 31 decide that the photographer gazes the specified area, the operation of a command dial 35 is made effective and the content of the operation mode which is previously made to correspond to the specified area is changed by rotating operation. The CPU 31 refers to the content of a storage means 3 and grasps the content of the previously set operation mode, and fetches a changed item and a changeable numerical value previously stored in a ROM in a register so that the content of the operation mode can be changed. By detecting the rotating operation of the dial 35, the content of the operation mode is changed in accordance with the rotating operation. Furthermore, the content whose setting is changed is displayed on a display means 34 by the CPU 31. |
