<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high performance tension controller and a recording or reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:When the movement of a slide chassis 4 from the 1st position to the 2nd position is completed, a belt arm 14 is abutted on a tension arm 13. When the tension of the tape is increased by means that the tape 18 is inserted and held between a capstan shaft 2a and a pinch-roller 12 then forwarded to the right side, the force turning counterclockwise is exerted to the tension arm 13. Further, this force is transmitted to the belt arm 14 to turn it clockwise, thereby the tractive force of a tension spring 15 is weakened, then the tension of the tape 18 is decreased by reducing the tension of a tension belt 16, i.e., the brake torque of a reel base 5.</p> |
