PURPOSE:To enable various playing expression through easy operation. CONSTITUTION:Key pressing forces in plural directions such as the up-down, right-left, and front-rear directions are detected by the keys of a keyboard 12 and a musical sound signal is generated corresponding to key pressing forces in the up-down direction. When musical sound characteristics are controlled corresponding to key pressing forces in the right-left direction, an offset value is found while the key pressing forces in the right-left direction become stable and the musical sound characteristics are controlled on the basis of the offset value. When the musical sound signal is generated corresponding to the key having the largest pressing force in the up-down direction, the musical sound characteristics are controlled corresponding to the right-left directional key pressing force, etc., of the key with a 2nd key pressing force (or key pressed at foot switch operation time). When the musical sound characteristics are controlled corresponding to key pressing forces in plural directions, the weighting of the key pressing forces in the directions is controlled according to the key pressing speeds. |
