PURPOSE:To shorten total measuring time by performing plane scanning by respectively alloting a probe position focused on a first inspection surface in plural inspecting surfaces to forward scanning and a probe position focused on the next inspection surface to backward scanning, and displaying respective forward and backward measuring data by images. CONSTITUTION:An operator designates a comparatively clearly displayed position B on a display 13 by a touch screen 15. A MPU 9 performs focus adjusting processing by this. Next, passing time is found on a contact plane 17a corresponding to the position B, and a gate width is narrowed according to calculated sound speed. Thereby, resolution is enhanced, and not only the position B but also a position C corresponding to an adjacent contact plane 17b are clearly displayed. In succession, when it is designated in order of the position B and the position C, the position B and the position C are respectively alloted to forward and backward scannings as a first probe position and a second probe position. In forward scanning, an image of the position B is gathered, and in backward scanning, an image of the position C is gathered, and two images are displayed above and below on a single image screen. |
