PURPOSE:To secure the safety of a battery when the battery having a negative electrode, a positive electrode operated at a potential of 4V or higher and an organic electrolyte is overcharged and to make the battery have a high energy density and an excellent cycle characteristic by adding austenite stainless steel powders to the positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:A complex oxide of Li and Co (LiCoO2), carbon powder serving as a conductive agent, and polyvinylidene fluoride serving as a binding agent, are mixed in a weight ratio of 90:2:8, and 1wt.%, US316 powder is added to the LiCoO2. The mixture is formed into a paste using N-methyl-2-pyrolidone serving as a solvent and is applied to Ti foil, which is then roll pressed and punched into a disc shape for use as a positive electrode 6. Graphite and polyvinylidene fluoride serving as a binding agent are mixed in a weight ratio of 84:16. This mixture is formed into a paste using N-methyl-2-pyrolidone and applied to copper foil, which is then roll pressed and punched into a disc shape for use as a negative electrode 3. A solvent in which ethylene carbonate and dimethyl carbonate are mixed in a volume ratio of 1:1 with phosphate hexafluoride Li dissolved therein at a concentration of 1mol/l is used as an organic electrolyte. |
