PURPOSE:To obtain the stereoscopic video input device which is improved in interlocking operation with a VTR where stereoscopic video is recorded. CONSTITUTION:Video signals from left and right camera parts 90 and 91 of a stereoscopic camera part 110 are applied to a composition switching circuit 99. When a common recording start command is sent from a remote controller 200 to the stereoscopic camera part 110 and VTR 110 at the same time, the composition switching circuit 99 puts a the right and left video signals together into a stereoscopic video signal, which is sent to and recorded on the VTR 100. Further, stereoscopic video is displayed in an electronic finder 105. When the recording start command is not set, the composition switching circuit 99 sends only the right or left video signal, which is displayed in the electronic finder 105. When a power-OFF command is sent, the stereoscopic camera part 110 and VTR 100 enter sleep mode. Therefore, the stereoscopic camera part and VTR need not be operated individually and the start and stop of recording can be timed to improve the operability and the visibility of the finder. |
