This invention relates to a composition, bath and process, which main purpose is to replace as from the pickling phase, all stages of the prior art treatment of ferroalloy material surfaces that will be submitted to strong cold strainings (drawing, stamping, extrusion and others). According to a preferred embodiment, the composition, based on 1 kg of thereof, comprises: (A) from about 100 to about 950 g of sulphuric acid (H2SO4); (B) from about 10 to 800 g of phosphoric acid (H3PO4); (C) from about 50 to 500 g of boric acid (H3BO3); (D) from about 5 to about 80 g of polyhydroxymonocarboxylic acid (gluconic acid); (E) water in an amount sufficient/necessary to complete 1 kg of the composition; (F) from 0 to about 150 g of ppropylene glycol and/or butyl glycol; (G) from 0 to about 150 g of modified black Acacia Extract (tannine). Through the invention, a special layer having lubricating, anti-corrosion and low friction rate characteristics and which also provides an excellent contact surface for adherence of auxiliary lubricants (soaps, oil, pastes and others) is formed onto the ferroalloy surface being treated. |
