PURPOSE:To send an image to a destination by detecting the position of a caller based on the transmission signal of a transmission means provided in a sound collection device through the voice input from the sound collection device and directing a video image input device to a direction of an utterance party to pick up the image. CONSTITUTION:A voice signal received respectively from microphones 1, 2,...n is given to a mixer 14 and sent to an opposite conference room and to an utterance party position detection section 10, in which infrared ray diodes 1', 2',...n' provided to the microphones 1, 2,...,n detect in which direction an utterance party is resident, and position data are sent to a video input device drive section 11. The video input device drive section 11 converts sent position data into position data of a seat base 12 and a camera 13 to control the position of the seat base 12, an utterance party is picked up by the camera 13 and image data are sent to an opposite conference room. Through the above, constitution since a video image input device is directed to an utterance party taking a seat on an optional position, limits to the interval of sound collection devices, directivity of the sound collection devices, seat position of an utterance party to the sound collection device, and installation of a transmitter to control the video input device or the like are avoided. |
