The slide (9) movement contains a downward directed component, when moving into the conveying path of the bottles etc. The mainly straight movement path of the slide towards the conveyor (1) is slightly inclined relative to the horizontal.The slide has a mainly vertical impact surface (19). It is fastened pivoted about a horizontal axis, on a holder (8), which moves to and fro in a straight line. The slide is flexibly stabilized in a central position, by at least one elastic element, e.g. a helical spring. The slide is positioned on the piston rod (8) of a pneumatic cylinder (5).
