A material body, for mfr of sole inserts, rucksack backs, bearing surfaces of chairs and beds etc. comprises an upper layer (1) of a hydrophilic material, which absorbs moisture etc. and transports it to a suction layer (2) of viscose in an unwoven or felt form, on a spacer layer (3) in the form of a one-piece knitted layer. Below this is an underlayer (4). The spacer layer forms a cavity under the suction layer, in which moisture absorbed by the suction layer is dried and eliminated. Spacer layer is pref. of monofilament or multifilament polyester or polypropylene fibres.
