This relates to a manufacturing method of 7-(alpha-(Z)-methoxyimino-alpha-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)acetamido)-3-((5-carboxymethyl-4-methylthiazol-2-yl)thiomethyl)-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid. This compd.. of formula (I) is useful as antibiotics. The manufacturing method comprises : 1)making dichlorotriphenylphosphorane by reaction of triphenylphosphine and hexachloroethanol, and reacting with 2-amino-alpha-(methoxyimino)-4-thiazolacetic acid and producing acyloxyphosphonium chloride of (IV); 2)silylating the compd. of (III); and 3)acylating the compd.. (IV) and silylated (III).
