<p>The present invention provides a releasable joint for joining two construction elements (100) of a transportable construction such as for example a stage assembly or building. The releasable joint of the invention comprises: one end (106) of one construction element (100a); a spigot member (130), one end (136) of which spigot member (130) is carried by the one end (106) of the one construction element (100a) and another end (134) of which spigot member (130) has a first aperture (140) formed therein; another end (107) of another construction element (100b) which defines a recess adapted to receive the other end (134) of the spigot member (130) and has a second aperture formed therein which can be aligned with the first aperture when the other end (134) of the spigot member (130) is received in the recess; a non-threaded spigot securing member (150) which can be entered into the first (120) and second (118) aligned apertures; and a releasable securing means (158) for securing releasably the spigot securing member (150) in the first and second aligned apertures (118, 120).</p> |
