The clamp bar attachment is designed to replace one link in a traction chain at each end of the bar, and comprises an outer (32) and an inner (30) vertical plate, joined by an inner connector (31) and able to receive chain link pivots. Each inner plate has an extension connecting it to the clamp bar (5), made in the form of a horizontal plate (34) which can be connected to one face (41) of a bar end and fastened to a counter-place (12) situated in a recess (40) in the bar end.
