Production of long porous metal profiles

Prodn. of long shapes of porous metal where a blank of appropriate materials is heated to the foaming temperature in stages. In the first stage a leading portion is foamed and then cooled. During the cooling period of the first portion the second portion is pre-heated. When the first portion is cooled sufficiently it is pushed out of the mould and the following portion is foamed. Also claimed is the required installation.
