<p>Straight-bar knitting machine with means for facilitating the formation and casting-off of stitches, comprising two needle holders (1,2) arranged in the shape of an inverted V and on which needles (3) are slidingly mounted, and at least one additional needle holder (4,5) located on at least one of said needle holders (1,2) and supporting a plurality of secondary sinkers (10) for facilitating the formation and casting-off of the stitches. The particularity of the invention is constituted by the fact that it comprises secondary sinker positioning means (20) supported by the carriage of the machine and can be actuated by motor means (27) that can be activated independently during the stroke of the carriage. <IMAGE></p> |
