REMOVING METHOD OF IODO-COMPOUND FROM ACETIC ACID

This relates to removing iodine compd.. with solid adsorbent during the process of manufacturing acetic acid. The used solid adsorbent is activated carbon fiber. Its strength is 100-250MPa, bulk density is 0.01-0.2 and specific surface area is 1000-2500m2/g. The removal method comprises 1)making a filter using the activated carbon fiber and 2)passing the acetic acid solution through the filter. The flow velocity is 1.0-50.0ml/min per 1g of fiber. Iodine compd. adsorbed fiber is desorbed by heating at 200-500deg.C for 2-6hrs with passing the inert gas.
