<p>PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of shock and engine stall at the starting time by releasing the relation between an inching pedal operation rate and a clutch stroke when a vehicle is stopped or a forward/rearward gear is not set to a neutral position until the inching pedal is operated to a position near a stroke end, and controlling the clutch stroke based on the relation in respect to further operation rate of the pedal. CONSTITUTION:Signals detected by sensors 1 to 8 for a vehicle speed and the like are input to a CPU 10 together with a signal from a ROM 11 directly or through an A/D converter 9, for driving a clutch controlling actuator 13 through a D/A converter 12 and an actuator driving circuit 14. A clutch is not engaged even with operation of an inching pedal when a vehicle is stopped and a proceeding/retreating gear is set to a position other than neutral due to the inching pedal position detecting sensor 8. The clutch is then connected based on the relation of the ROM 11 by a returning operation after operating the pedal to a position near a stroke end. Shock and engine stop are thus prevented at the starting time.</p> |
