Polyimide-imine toner and developer compositions.

A toner comprises a pigment and a polyimideimine resin of formula (I): m and n = number of monomer segments, where m is 100-10,000 and n is 10-1,000; X = independently selected from tetravalent aromatic, polyaromatic or cycloaliphatic gp. with 6-20C atoms and a cycloaliphatic gp.; R = independently selected from alkylene, oxyalkylene and polyoxyalkylene; and R' = independently selected from alkylene and arylene. Also claimed are: (i) a developer compsn. comprising the above toner and carrier particles; and (ii) a method of imaging which comprises formulating an electrostatic latent image on a negatively charged photoreceptor and affecting development of the image with the above toner, then transferring the developed image to a suitable substrate.
