<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a recording solution for ink-jet recording or writing utensils, etc., containing an aqueous medium and a specific rhodamine B-based coloring matter, capable of providing a bright magenta-colored record and good in printing density, water resistance and stability when recorded on plain paper. CONSTITUTION:This recording solution excellent in printing density, water resistance and preservation stability when recorded on plain paper, is obtained by blending an aqueous medium with at least one coloring matter expressed by the formula [R<1> to R<4> each is a (substituted)alkyl, a (substituted)cycloalkyl, etc.; R<5> and R<6> each is H, a 1-12C alkyl or a halogen; R<7> is H, a (substituted) alkyl or a (substituted)cycloalkyl; A<-> is an anion; D is H, a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C alkoxy, OH, nitro, carboxy or sulfonic acid; E is H or a halogen; V, W, X, Y and Z each is H, a halogen. a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C alkoxy, OH, nitro, carboxy or sulfonic acid; (n) is 1-3] and prepared by reacting rhodamine B with phosphorus oxychloride and methyl 2-aminobenzoate.</p> |
