PURPOSE:To prepare a feed additive composition capable of stably protecting a biologically active substance in the first stomach of a ruminant and efficiently digesting and absorbing the substance in digestive organs lower than the fourth stomach on the consideration of safety and profitability. CONSTITUTION:The characteristic of the granular feed additive composition for ruminants comprises coating a nucleus containing a biologically active substance with a coating composition containing 65-90wt.% of the below- described component (A), 2-10wt.% of the component (B), and 8-30wt.% of the component (C). (A) At least one kind of hydrophobic protecting substance selected from hardened animal or vegetable oils and fats, animal or vegetable oils and fats, and a fatty acid ester. (B) A surface active substance compatible with the hydrophobic substance (A). (C) Talc powder. The feed additive composition are provided with an excellent protecting property in the first stomach of a ruminant and with an extremely excellent eluting property in the digesting organs lower than the fourth stomach. |
