PURPOSE: To provide an insert for cut capable of using a cutting edge in copying and counter boring work. CONSTITUTION: A cutting edge 38 has the shape of a descending arc portion 40 formed on a part where an upper surface and a bottom surface intersect an arbitrary side flank and are defined as an arc part from a corner of an insert to an adjacent corner. A width at the corner 20, of a variable width land surface is narrower than a width of a part along the side flank of an insert barrel part, and the variable width land surface is rounded at a position of a section of the insert, and comprises a first variable descending angle land surface 46. A second variable descending angle land surface 48 is extended from the back of the first variable descending angle land surface 46. |
