PURPOSE:To prevent a recessed part from developing on the inner peripheral surface in a hose, having curved part, so as to contrive to improve the durability of the hose at use. CONSTITUTION:A hose 1 is used for connecting an engine with a supercharger and equipped with a tubular general part 4 and rigid parts 5 locating at both the ends of the hose. At the boundary portion between the rigid part 5 and the general part 4, a tapered part 6, the diameter of which becomes gradually smaller from the rigid part 5 toward the general part 4, is provided. At the manufacturing of the hose 1, after a hose precursory body made of unvulcanized rubber is obtained, the hose precursory body is inserted onto a mandrel so as to be formed into the predetermined shape. After that, the unvulcanized rubber is vulcanized so as to obtain the hose 1. Though the predetermined stress difference develops between the rigid part 5 and the general part 4 due to the difference between the sliding resistances of the rigid part and of the general part at the insertion of the hose precursory body onto the mandrel, the difference between the stresses is gradually damped due to the existence of the tapered part 6, resulting in checking the concentration of stress difference at the boundary portion. |
