摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a method for producing the subject compound, capable of producing this compound by an ordinary stirring device, having high workability and safety in the following processes due to the possible preparation of the objective high-melting substance as an aqueous dispersion, making a used solvent reusable only by such a simple operation as phase separation from water due to recovery of the solvent by distillation in high yield without being mixed. CONSTITUTION:Water is added to a solution of 2,2-bis[4'-(2'',3''- dibromopropoxy)-3',5'-dibromophenyl)propane (hereinafter abbreviated as BDBP- TBA) in an organic solvent in the presence of a surfactant to form a water- in-oil type emulsion and successively the organic solvent is removed to provide a method for producing powdery high-melting BDBP-TBA including a process for crystallizing the high-melting BDBP-TBA in the presence of a crystal nucleus and obtaining high-melting BDBP-TBA as an aqueous dispersion.
