<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an instantaneous and substantial rise in the internal pressure of a fuel tank at the time of filling the tank with fuel, and ensure a smooth filling-up process. CONSTITUTION:An upper float chamber R1, an intermediate chamber R2 and a lower float chamber R3 are formed in a case 11 fixed to the upper wall of a fuel tank 8. The chamber R1 has the first communication hole 12a continuous to an air discharge passage 7, and is internally provided with an upper float 15 capable of closing the hole 12a. Also, the chamber R2 is provided with the third communication hole 17b continuous to the chamber R3, while an intermediate side wall 18 is provided with the first vent hole 19 formed at the full position LF of fuel level. The chamber R3 is internally provided with a lower float 23 capable of closing the hole 17b, and the second vent hole 22 is formed on a lower side wall 21 under the float 23.</p> |
