PURPOSE:To provide an air bag device for a front passenger seat capable of reducing the number of manufacturing mandays and manufacturing cost by way of facilitating work to sew. an air bag in a bag shape as well as securing a specified projection amount of the air bag to the rear side of a vehicle at the time of the air bag expanding. CONSTITUTION:A case l to arrange an opening part 2, an air bag 18 folded and stored in the case 1 and a cover part 11 to cover the opening part 2 and to open at the time of the air bag expanding are furnished on an instrument panel P below a wind-shield W inclined on the front surface side of a vehicle. The air bag 18, the margin of a gas inflow port 20a of which is held by the case 1, expands large to interfere with the windshield W as it is projected from the opening part 2 by inflow of gas from the gas inflow port 20a, and it is formed by sewing margins of two pieces of circular ground fabrics 19, 20 together. The gas inflow port 20a is arranged offset on the rear side of the vehicle from the center on the ground fabric 20. |
