PURPOSE:To increase the joint strength of a gutter body and an extension plate while reducing the labor as compared with a conventional connection method by manufacturing the gutter body and the extension plate by composite plates, in which the surfaces of the core materials of metal plates are covered with resin layers, and fusing the joining end section of either of the gutter body or the extension plate as a resin-rich end. CONSTITUTION:A first beltlike composite plate 71 is manufactured by covering the surface of a core material 1 consisting of a metal plate with a resin layer 2. A gutter body 3 composed of a bottom plate 31 and sidewall plates 32 erected from both side ends of the bottom plate 31 is produced by the composite plates 71. An extension plate 4 is made up of a second composite plate 72 having the same quality as the first composite plate 71. The resin layers 2 at the terminals of either one of the upper end sections of the sidewall plates 32 or the lower end sections of the extension members 4 are formed in resin-rich ends 5, the first composite plates 71 and the lower end sections of the extension plates 4 are superposed, and the resin layers 2 are fused through heating and contact-bonding. The resin-rich ends 5 are heated and contact- bonded and the resin layers 2 are softened and spread at the time of joining, thus increasing the joint areas of fusing sections. Accordingly, excellent strength can be acquired. |
