PURPOSE:To obtain the subject detergent composition excellent in low stimulation properties and foaming properties and capable of forming foams excellent in touch and giving the skin or the hairs a gentle and moist touch during or after washing and useful for a shampoo, etc., by blending a specified surfactant, a sulfuric acid ester salt and a polymer in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:This detergent composition is prepared by blending (A) a magnesium sulfosuccinate-based surfactant of formula I {R1 is a 6 to 22C alkyl, an alkenyl, a sugar alcohol residue, etc.; one of X1 and X2 is SO3M11/m and the other is H; A is O(BO)n1, etc.; [n1 is 0 to 20; B is a 2 to 4C (hydroxy)alkylene]; one of M1 and M2 is Mg and the other is an alkaline (earth) metal, ammonia, etc., (m) is 1 or 2}, (B) a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfuric acid ester salt of formula II [R2 is a 8 to 18C alkyl; (n3) is 0 to 10; M3 is an alkaline (earth) metal, etc.] and (C) a quaternary nitrogen-containing polymer so that the molar ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) may be 0.001:1 to 3:1. |
