PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for removing foreign matter from laver, provided with a cleaning apparatus, etc., for cleaning the clogging of separation holes at the feeding chamber-side of a specific separation wall and effective for efficiently passing exclusively raw laver and water while leaving foreign matter larger than the separation hole on the upstream side of the separation wall. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus for removing foreign matter from laver is provided with a supplying chamber 20 capable of storing a laver mixture liquid produced by mixing cut raw laver into water, a discharging chamber 21 separated from outer atmosphere, a separation wall 17 separating the supplying chamber 20 from the discharging chamber 21 and having a separation slit 18 having a width slightly larger than the thickness of the raw laver, a cleaning apparatus 40 for cleaning the clogging of the separation slit 18 at the supplying chamber- side of the separation wall 17, a discharging pump 31 connected to the discharging chamber 21 and a controlling apparatus 29 for starting or stopping the suction operation of the discharging pump 31. |
