PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for application of an oily liquid while preventing reflection of ultrasonic waves at the skin. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic sensor A has constitution obtd. by housing an ultrasonic vibrator transducer 1 in a package 2. An opening window 2c is formed in the front section of this ultrasonic vibrator transducer 1 in the package 2. This opening window 2c is closed by a chitin type artificial film 4. Liquid 5 for ultrasonic wave transmission consisting of silicone oil is filled in the space enclosed by the package 2 and the artificial film 4. The ultrasonic vibrator transducer 1 is immersed into the liquid 5 for ultrasonic wave transmission.
