<p>PURPOSE:To improve workability for assembling work of a pad body to a steering wheel main body and to improve operability of a horn switch. CONSTITUTION:A horn switch mechanism is constructed by installing a pair of horn plates 21 on both sides elastically and freely advancingly in a steering wheel main body. In a supporting piece 25 formed on the horn plate 21, a mounting piece 63 formed on a base plate 55 of a pad body 5 is fastened by a bolt 72 to be fixed. When the pad body 5 is pressed, movable contacts 26 arranged in the front and rear end parts of the horn plate 21 and fixed contacts arranged on the steering wheel main body side are brought into contact with each other, and consequently, a horn is sounded. In the vicinity of each movable contact 26 on the horn plate 21, plate side engaging parts 28, 29 are formed. On the base plate 55 of the pad body 5, pad side engaging parts 67, 68 to be engaged with the plate side engaging parts 28, 29 are formed. In this way, the pad body 5 can be temporarily held. Even when the bolt 72 is fastened, the pad body 5 is not inclined.</p> |
