The cabin, designed to be placed directly on an existing floor or raised on jacks, has a flat, one-piece base, preferably of laminated glass/polyester, and a floor surface shaped to drain off water. The cabin can have a flat floor and a raised shower tray (8) with a siphon-type drain outlet with a non-return valve. In a variant of the design the cabin floor can have surfaces sloping in different directions, draining the water towards an outlet channel, and the cabin can be made in a variety of configurations with shower, wash hand-basin and toilet in different positions.
