The trim panel (14) is mounted onto the interior wall (10) of the passenger compartment of an automobile by means of the fixing element (30), which is attached to the panel. The fixing element is engaged in the receiving hole (31), which is provided in the internal wall. It is located on a support pillar (40), which is part of the panel.The support pillar is mounted into a cut-out (41) in the panel, and possesses flexible blades (42) to allow displacement of the fixing element relative to the panel to allow the panel to be adjusted for correct alignment with the other trim panels, or with the vehicle body and relative to the hole, which is fixed in position in the passenger compartment walls. |
