<p>An agent for recovering heavy metal cations from an aqueous effluent, including either a silicate or aluminosilicate type compound, e.g. an alkali metal silicate or aluminosilicate, or a carbonate type compound, e.g. an alkali metal carbonate, as well as a carrier, preferably a clay. The agent may also form a cation stabiliser. Said agent is useful for removing or stabilising heavy metal cations in water used for cleaning flue gases from waste incineration, particularly household refuse and industrial waste incineration.</p> |
