Banknote testing device detecting incorporated metal strip

The device evaluates the metal strip incorporated in the banknote, for checking that the banknote is genuine, using capacitive electrodes and an AC electromagnetic field, as in P4405860.8. The housing (1) of the device containing the testing circuit has a banknote clip (2) on at least one side and at least one support foot or holder, selectively fitted to its outside surface. Pref. the clip extends parallel to the longitudinal side face of the housing and to the surfaces of the test electrodes contained within the housing.
