Ink jet printer head position adjustment mechanism

The mechanism has a carriage (31) with head positioning surfaces (35,36), determining the position of the printer head in the paper feed direction, extending parallel to the guide axis (23) and head guide grooves (32,33) perpendicular to this axis. The head has a section which fits into the grooves, to limit its movement in the guide direction and successive stop surfaces (75,78), cooperating with the respective head positioning surfaces, when the head is pressed against the latter via springs (94).
