A system for converting the analogue output of a piezo transduces, two of which form the force sensing elements of a wheel balancing apparatus for motor vehicles employs an earthed metal encapsulation for each element which also houses the circuit board and electronic components for A/D conversion within the encapsulation.The wheel (W) undergoing test is coupled to the shaft (18) which rotates in a tube (14) supported by the bearers (16) such that its unbalanced mass deflects the tube (14) to exert pressure on the elements (16).The resultant converted signals are routed to a central control/evaluation module (20) which derives the necessary dynamic balancing mass and its position for display (22, 24, 26).
